Post-match thoughts from Interim Manager

John McGreal highlighted Town's inconsistency following defeat to Barrow in the Emirates FA Cup second round this evening.

After a positive display away to Wigan at the weekend, the Blues slumped to a 2-0 defeat against the Cumbria outfit, who will face Barnsley in the third round.

Jordan Stevens and Robbie Gotts netted for the hosts on the night.

"We were poor in the first half and had to tweak things at half-time," John told iFollow Ipswich.

"We gave it a go in the second half but you can see the inconsistency from game to game and half to half. You've only got to look at the performance tonight compared to Wigan.

"You can see the inconsistency across the team but also in individual players. It's plain to see. They'll need to work hard and try to put things right.

"I keep mentioning the fans. Some of the performances we're putting on for our travelling supporters are criminal.

"There is a lot of work to be done, and the challenge is for the players to put on a performance for our fans at home this weekend."
