Town take on Arsenal U21 at Portman Road this evening in the Papa John's Trophy round of 32, and the below matchday guide provides all the information you need to know if attending.

With the sharp rise of Covid-19 cases in Ipswich, the Club is asking supporters to be vigilent whilst at Portman Road, and make use of the hand sanitiser stations where possible.

Tickets will be available to purchase on the day from the matchday ticket office from 5pm up until kick-off tonight. Tickets can also be purchased online up until kick-off [7.45pm].

The match is also available to watch on iFollow Ipswich, click here to purchase.

Supporters aged 11 and over attending this evening are required to show proof of full Covid-19 vaccination or a negative lateral flow test within 48 hours of kick-off.

Season ticket holders are required to purchase a ticket. Season cards will not work at the turnstile as this is a cup game.

Ticket sales are now running up until kick-off. They can be purchased on the day online via or from the matchday ticket office on Constantine Road from 5pm.

No on the day sales will take place in Planet Blue. Supporters are encouraged to buy their tickets online and in advance of the match.

You will have a recommended entry time on your match ticket, please try and stick to this time as this will help with the flow of supporters. It is only a guide though and you will not be denied entry if you miss your time slot.

Whoever purchases a ticket for the game under their name - whether season ticket or match ticket -  must take full responsibility for providing Test and Trace information if needed. This applies even if they pass their ticket onto someone else to use or make multiple ticket purchases.

The ticket office phone lines (03330 050530) are open from 10am until 5pm today. They’re also contactable on email via

Any person aged 11 or over will either be required to provide proof of a NHS negative lateral flow test (no longer than 48 hours prior to the event) or proof of full vaccination (with the second dose administered at least 14 days before the relevant match). The Club will not accept actual lateral flow test sticks as proof.

For supporters aged U18, only one dose is required as proof of full vaccination.

The Club will also accept vaccine cards or a photo of the card as proof of double vaccination. You may be asked to provide photographic ID (passport, driving license) as well. A bank card will be accepted as proof of ID if no photo ID available.

The Club is aware of delays experienced by supporters when trying to load the NHS app to show proof of vaccination. To avoid this, screenshots of your proof of vaccination will be sufficient. You can obtain a 'paper copy' by calling 119 or applying online.

Please note that children under the age of 13 years will not need ID but their accompanying parent or guardian will have to validate their details.

The Club have arranged a mobile testing unit to be in place at Alderman Park. Please be advised that test results can take around 30 minutes to be processed.

Please avoid bringing large bags into the stadium and only do so if absolutely necessary. This will help avoid slowing down the stadium entry process.

Tickets can be scanned from your smartphone at the following turnstiles:

Sir Alf Ramsey Stand – 4,5,6 & 59

Cobbold Stand (Away) - 10

Sir Bobby Robson Stand – 31, 33, 34 & 35

Magnus Group West Stand – 42, 43, 44 & 57

With the sharp rise of Covid-19 cases in Ipswich, the Club is asking supporters to be vigilent whilst at Portman Road, and make use of the hand sanitiser stations where possible.

Supporters must not attend if they are suffering from Covid-19 symptoms, are feeling unwell, have been asked to self isolate, or if they have been in close contact recently with anyone experiencing symptoms or who has tested positive. In the event you develop Covid-19 symptoms whilst at the stadium, please notify the nearest member of Club staff immediately.

Face coverings are mandatory in indoor areas such as the concourses and toilets etc. Whilst not mandatory within the stadium bowl, spectators are strongly encouraged to wear face coverings in all outdoor spectator settings, including seats. We ask all those attending to show respect to ITFC staff and fellow supporters in regard to this matter.

Maintain good hand hygiene at all times around the stadium. Use the sanitiser dispensers provided and avoid touching your face, or handles and railings whenever possible.

When moving past others, to and from your seat, please avoid face to face contact and follow stewards’ instruction

The FanZone will be open as normal from 6pm until kick-off.

Entrance is through Gate 1A with a valid match ticket and proof of full vaccination/negative lateral flow result. You will also be checked again before reaching the turnstiles on entry into the stadium.

Supporters who sit in the West Stand are now able to scan through turnstile 58 into the FanZone and then access the West Stand through the double gate opposite the conferencing & hospitality entrance as opposed to exiting the FanZone and queuing up for the turnstiles.

The bar will be open along with food from local vendor, Suffolk Food Catering. Local DJ Andy Cutting will be performing live.

Inflatable penalty shootout will be in the FanZone, with a penalty shootout also taking place.

The Planet Blue retail unit will also be open.

The concourse areas will be open for food and drink before the match and at full-time.

Please wear a face covering in the concourse areas unless eating or drinking.

Open from 10am until kick-off and open for 30 minutes after the full-time whistle.

Planet Blue retail unit in FanZone will be open alongside Planet Bluey in the Magnus Group West Stand.

There will be no usual autograph hunting area before the match or at full-time.

Flower beds have been installed at Princes Street end of Portman Road, meaning that supporters parking in the NCP Portman Road car park will need to either turn right towards Handford Road or go straight over down Sir Alf Ramsey Way.
