Defensive duo closing in, Skusey making good progress
James Wilson has returned to first-team training and is closing in on a return following a knee injury.
The centre-half has been sidelined since October, but could be ready to get some minutes under his belt soon.
"James has started training with us a little bit which is obviously good," Town manager Paul Lambert told iFollow Ipswich.
"We've got to remember that he's been out for a long time but he's doing alright.
"I think he'll be ready for some game time soon."
The Blues boss also gave an update on Cole Skuse, who has been absent for the entirety of the campaign following an injury picked up in pre-season.
"Cole is doing well but we need to have a look at the timescale on him," he added.
"We have a lot of players so we need to take care of them and we won't rush them back."
Meanwhile Toto Nsiala, who suffered a hamstring problem before the Sunderland game last month, returned to first-team training yesterday and Oli Hawkins, who underwent knee surgery in January, is recovering well.
