Edwards also to be looked at ahead of Tigers clash
Matt Gill said Luke Thomas and Gwion Edwards will both be assessed today, with the latter the more likely of the two to be involved at KCOM Stadium when Town face Hull City tomorrow night.
Both Luke and Gwion were absent from Blues' goalless draw with Oxford United at the weekend, while James Wilson, Toto Nsiala and Keanan Bennetts all returned following spells on the sidelines.
"We've come through the weekend in pretty good shape but we'll have a look at one or two of the lads that played to see how they're doing physically," the Town first-team coach told iFollow Ipswich.
"Luke Thomas will be assessed today and Gwion should be back in the numbers.
"If you ask the lads if they can play Saturday then Tuesday then I'm sure they'd say yes. They all want to play their part and do well but we can't overdo it.
"Skusey [Cole Skuse] has been out on the grass for a while and will return to training soon. I think he's joining in for part of the session today which is great news for him and us."
