Paul Lambert ahead of tomorrow's test at New Meadow

Paul Lambert said Town must prepare for a different type of game to the one against Peterborough when they take on Shrewsbury away from home this weekend.

Blues faced Posh on Tuesday night in difficult conditions on a struggling pitch, but the playing surface at Montgomery Waters Meadow has been hailed one of the best in the division.

"Shrewsbury got a good result against Sunderland midweek so we're expecting a difficult test," Paul said.

"I know Alby well [Aaron Wilbraham, Shrewsbury assistant manager] as he's played under me and it'll be good to see him because he's a good guy.

"He's done well in the circumstances and I hope Steve [Cotterill, Shrewsbury manager] is doing okay.

"It'll be a tough game but the surface looks good and we have to be up for it."
