Assistant manager on Posh defeat
Stuart Taylor said Town knew tonight’s game at Peterborough would involve plenty of long balls and physical battles.
Conditions were far from ideal at Weston Homes Stadium as Peterborough came from behind to beat Blues.
"We knew the game was going to involve lots of balls going from back to front," Town’s assistant manager said.
"We allowed too many crosses into the box and didn’t deal with one which was disappointing.
"We were then disappointed to give away a free-kick on the edge of the box and obviously it was a good finish.
"After we went behind I thought we responded well and finished the game strongly.
"It’s frustrating and we’re disappointed to come away from the game with nothing because we started really well, and got the goal, and we then had a chance with Troy [Parrott] right at the end but their ‘keeper made a great save."
