"I'm playing games left, right and centre and that's the best way to get match sharpness and fitness back"
Flynn Downes says he is getting 'back to his best' after completing 90 minutes in three consecutive games.
The Town midfielder returned to the side when he came on as a substitute against Swindon earlier this month, having been sidelined for three months with a MCL injury.
Since then he has played full games against Burton, Peterborough and Sunderland respectively, and will be part of the travelling squad for tomorrow's meeting with Crewe at The Alexandra Stadium.
"I'm feeling good, and the games are coming thick and fast so it's good to be back amongst it all," he told iFollow Ipswich.
"It was a long three months but with every game I think I'm getting closer to my best. I'm playing games left, right and centre and that's the best way to get match sharpness and fitness back.
"Tomorrow's game at Crewe will be a challenge. We know they like to play football, and they played well at Portman Road back in October.
"Things are tough at the moment but we have to stick together."
