Town boss on draw at The Alexandra Stadium
Paul Lambert thought Town deserved nothing less than a point away to Crewe this afternoon.
It finished honours even at The Alexandra Stadium, with Charlie Kirk opening the scoring before Aaron Drinan scored his first goal for Town to bring the visitors level.
Teddy Bishop received a second yellow card seven minutes from time as Blues finished the game with ten men.
"I think we should have won it to be honest," Paul told iFollow Ipswich.
"Maybe with eleven on the pitch at the end we might have got the chances, but we certainly didn't deserve anything less.
"We showed good commitment and drive today in my opinion, and character to get back in the game.
"I'm pleased for Aaron getting the goal and he had a good impact off the bench.
"Teddy is disappointed but he's an honest lad and we have him back fit for future matches at least."
