Blues boss on Posh defeat
Paul Lambert felt today's game with Peterborough was one that Town didn't deserve to lose.
The visitors failed to register a shot on target at Portman Road, with an own goal from Mark McGuinness seeing Posh run out 1-0 winners in Suffolk.
"There was nothing in the game really," Paul told iFollow Ipswich.
"They've been in good form and we managed to stop them having a shot on target.
"Mark has been great for us since he arrived and he has to learn from disappointments and not dwell on them. He's a whole hearted player and he is a proper defender.
"It was a case of fine margins. We played with commitment and got into some good areas but we just need to find that final pass or get the shot away - it's something we'll work on.
"We also had three strikers missing today which obviously wasn't ideal."
Luke Thomas, who joined Blues on loan from Barnsley earlier in the week, made his debut for the Club as a second-half substitute, and Paul thought he made good first impressions at Portman Road.
"I thought Luke had a good impact," the Town boss added.
"He's only been here a few days and he gave us something different, hopefully he kicks on."
