"Kayden's red hurt us, without a shadow of a doubt, but it was certainly a red card"
Paul Lambert spoke about the frustration of conceding just before half-time against Sunderland this evening.
Charlie Wyke fired Sunderland ahead in the 45th minute, after Blues had managed to stifle the Black Cats following Kayden Jackson's dismissal ten minutes in.
The Town striker was shown a straight red following a high tackle on Bailey Wright, with Sunderland going on to win 1-0 at Portman Road.
"We were well in the game until we conceded," Paul told iFollow Ipswich.
"There wasn't anything in it. Nothing was really happening and we'd defended well. We obviously wanted to make it to half-time.
"The lads put the effort in, I think that was there for everyone to see.
