More players return ahead of Burton trip

Paul Lambert confirmed that Teddy Bishop, Gwion Edwards and Jon Nolan all returned to full training with Town this week, with Flynn Downes and James Norwood also completing another week at Playford Road having made their comebacks against Swindon at Portman Road last weekend.

The Blues boss also gave updates on Freddie Sears, Keanan Bennetts, Kane Vincent-Young and Oli Hawkins - with Oli all set to travel and be in contention for tomorrow's clash with Burton Albion at Pirelli Stadium.

"It was good to see Flynn and Nors back out there," the Town boss told iFollow Ipswich.

"Bishop is training. Edwards is training. Okay they're not quite 100% but they're getting there and we want them involved.

"We're trying to squeeze about half a season into something like two and a half months, so we will need bodies.

"Nolo is training with us as well but I think Burton is too early for him.

"Freddie is close to a return, he's been doing well in training. Keanan and Kane won't be available this weekend.

"Oli was left out last weekend as he felt a slight issue with his knee the day before. That was a precautionary one so he's okay. We can't take the risk with players with how many games we have coming up."
