"It was a horrible game but we fought and then showed a bit of quality for the goal"
Stuart Taylor thought Town's performance on the road this afternoon was a solid and professional one.
A 72nd-minute header from Mark McGuinness was enough for Paul Lambert's side to return to winning ways with a 1-0 victory over Burton Albion in Staffordshire.
"It's no disrespect to Burton at all but we knew what sort of match we were in for," Blues' assistant manager told iFollow Ipswich.
"We did the dirty side of the game well. It was a horrible game but we fought and then showed a bit of quality for the goal.
"The lads wanted to start today's game in the right way and I thought they did that. We showed an aggressive side and an intensity that we lacked last week.
"To come here and keep a clean sheet, against a side that have brought in some new players - I think that's a solid and professional away performance.
"Everyone seems to have come through today okay, so we'll get ready for another week of hard work in training because we have big games coming up."
