Fine team move secures win for Young Blues

Ben Wyss' goal just before half-time secured a victory for Town U23s against Crystal Palace in a behind closed doors friendly at Playford Road.

Wyss' strike came after a fine team move which saw the Young Blues regain possession deep inside their own half before a series of over 25 passes culminated in the defender firing into the roof of the net from next to the penalty spot.

It was little more than Kieron Dyer's side deserved, having enjoyed the majority of the play throughout.

The visitors' best chance of the game came after the break but they fired off target from the edge of the box.

Town XI first half: Wright, Wyss, Kabongolo, Smith, Trialist, Healy, Humphreys, Z Brown, K Brown, Page, Simpson.

Town XI second half: White, Stewart, Andoh, Baggott, Clements, Cutbush, Alexander, Chirewa, Crane, Oppong, Odutayo.

Town's U23s are sponsored by CNet Training.
