"It’s gives us an opportunity to meet supporters and hear what they have to say"
Mark Ashton has said the Fans Forum that proved a great success on Thursday night will become a feature of the Club’s direct communication with supporters through the season.
Town’s CEO was joined by chairman Mike O’Leary and manager, Paul Cook, at the Q and A session with over 100 Blues fans at the event held in the Sir Bobby Robson Suite.
The Forum was also streamed live on the Club’s YouTube channel, with close on 3000 watching the night unfold and has now been viewed more than 14,000 times.
A variety of topics were discussed including the plan of improvements to be made to the facilities at Portman Road; the desire to add to the squad before the start of the season; the importance of the Club’s place in the community and enhancing that link between the fans and the Club.
“It was a really good night, with a great audience and some great questions as well,” Mark told the Club website.
“Events like the Fans Forum are important to us. It’s gives us an opportunity to meet supporters and hear what they have to say and we will be booking another one in the diary before Christmas. Supporters will know well in advance when it will be coming up and we will continue to stream the event so that as many fans as possible have access.”
