AN UPDATE FROM THE GOVERNMENT

5 July 2021

No cap on football attendances from later this month

The Government have, today (Monday, 5 July), announced that sports venues in England will be allowed to return to full capacity from Monday, 19 July.

A final decision on the relaxation of the restrictions on sports venues as well as other social distancing measures and rules will be made in seven days' time on Monday, 12 July.

In the 2021/22 season, all but two of Town's home fixtures took place behind closed doors, with 2,000 fans in attendance for the games against Portsmouth and Burton respectively at Portman Road.

The Club will confirm ticketing details for the upcoming pre-season home friendlies against Crystal Palace (Saturday, 24 July) and Millwall (Saturday, 31 July) in due course.

We look forward to welcoming supporters back to Portman Road.
