"We are signing players that some might have thought were out of our reach"
Paul Cook has reiterated his thanks to the Club’s owners and has said that Town are signing players that some would have felt were out of reach for Blues.
Conor Chaplin became the 10th new arrival under the Gamechanger ownership when he joined from Championship Barnsley on Tuesday, a day that also saw George Edmundson arrive from Scottish champions Rangers.
Joe Pigott and Scott Fraser both turned down interest from Championship clubs to head to Portman Road, buying into the Club’s ambition under the US investment.
“I can’t thank the board and Mark Ashton [CEO] enough because we are signing players that some might have thought were out of our reach,” the Town boss told the Club website.
“We’ve kept our recruitment standards high this summer and the last two signings, with George and Conor coming in, are further evidence of that.”
