"In the next three games, we’re looking for nine points; it’s as simple as that"

Andre Dozzell is confident that Town have the quality to begin a winning run of form at Wigan on Saturday.

Blues travel to DW Stadium two points adrift of the play-off places going into their final 11 fixtures.

Town host Bristol Rovers before travelling to Rochdale following Saturday’s Wigan clash, a run of fixtures that Doz sees as an opportunity.

He said: "This is it now. It’s 11 cup finals. We need to push on and get in amongst the play-offs.

"It hasn’t been good enough for the last few games but this week [in training] will do us the world of good and we’ll be going to Wigan looking for the three points.

"When they’re down near the bottom of the table, they’re fighting for their lives. They’ve got something to play for but we know we’ve got the quality so if we turn up, we know we can get the three points.

"They’re not easy games but for a Club like Ipswich, we’re always looking to win every game. In the next three games, we’re looking for nine points; it’s as simple as that.”

The midfielder has established himself as a regular throughout the 2020/21 campaign.

An architect of dangerous set pieces in recent times, Doz is keen to continue contributing going forward.

"It’s been good to have the starts but if we don’t get where we want to be, it doesn’t really mean anything,” he continued.

"The more games I’m getting, the more I can show. Hopefully that can carry on until the end of the season and we can keep pushing up that table.

"I think there is a lot more to come. I want to get my numbers up in terms of goals and assists."
