Young Blues share spoils with Swans thanks to second-half penalty
Town U23s drew 1-1 with Swansea City in a Professional Development League Two match this afternoon.
Landore Training Centre played host for the match as a second-half penalty from Zak Brown earned the young Blues a point.
Kieron Dyer's side had missed a penalty in the first half after Kai Brown was tripped in the area before stepping up to take the spot kick which was saved by Josh Gould.
The Swans then took the lead through Ali Al-Hamadi in the 21st minute.
But Town levelled just after the hour mark when Jake Thomas was penalised for bringing down Zak Brown, who picked himself up to send Gould the wrong way.
The young Blues finished the game with 10 men after second-half substitute Cameron Humphreys was shown a second yellow card in the dying stages.
Town: White, Crowe, Baggott (pictured above), Clements (Humphreys 51'), Crane, Alexander, Page, Dobra, K Brown (Oppong 51'), Siziba, Z Brown.
