"I felt a bit tired after the game but I'm feeling really good now and ready to go again"
Jack Lankester said he was delighted to get the nod for Town's home game with Lincoln on Tuesday, and is hoping to play his part for Blues going forward.
Paul Cook brought Jack into the starting XI for the visit of The Imps, with the midfielder playing just over an hour in the 1-1 draw at Portman Road.
It was the 21-year-old's first involvement since coming on as a second-half substitute against Northampton on 16 February.
"It was really good to be back in," Jack told iFollow Ipswich.
"I want to play every game. I hadn't been involved for a little while but the gaffer has come in and given me a chance which is great.
"When a new manager comes in it gives everyone a clean slate and a chance to impress him. I'd trained hard for a couple of days and he gave me the opportunity.
"He wants to help everyone which is really good. It's nice because you know that even if you haven't played for a little while, the interest is still there.

"Being out on the left was a bit different as I haven't played there for a little while, but everyone is learning and adapting to a slightly different style of play and we're all doing our best for each other which is the most important thing."
