"I've always been available and there for my teammates and managers. Hopefully that shows the dedication I have to the Club and my profession"
Luke Chambers said entering the top 10 all-time appearances makers list for Town is something he is very proud of.
The Blues captain, who has now played 387 games for the Club in all competitions after Tuesday's draw with Lincoln, went 10th in his own right during his 386th game, which was against Gillingham last weekend.
Town's victory over Accrington Stanley earlier in the month saw him go joint-10th, before making the spot his own at MEMS Priestfield Stadium.
"It's a moment and an achievement that can never be taken away from me," the centre-half told the Club website.
"Having the shirt presented to me from the group on Tuesday was also a massive surprise. I think it shows that they respect me and I certainly respect them.
"Regardless of what opinion people have on how the Club has been for the last nine years, I've always been available and there for my teammates and managers. Hopefully that shows the dedication I have to the Club and my profession.
"I've always tried to be honest as a captain and reaching the top 10 for appearances for the Club is something I'll always be proud of."
