Central defender features for Republic of Ireland U21s in Wales

Mark McGuinness played the full 90 minutes as Republic of Ireland U21s came from behind to beat Wales this afternoon.

The hosts opened the scoring in the 11th minute, but a strike from Jonathan Afolabi and an own goal from Morgan Boyes saw Ireland complete a second-half comeback.

Mark, who is on loan at Town from Arsenal for the 2020/21 season, has now earned two caps for his country at U21 level, having made his debut in November.

The 20-year-old will rejoin his Blues teammates ahead of a home meeting with Bristol Rovers on Friday, 2 April.
