"It's been nice to watch the players in action and put faces to names"
Paul Cook said he feels like he has 'properly arrived' at Town after taking his first training session at the Club this morning.
The new Blues boss, who was appointed on Tuesday and watched from the stands as Matt Gill guided Town to victory over Accrington that evening, took to the Playford Road pitches today along with new first-team coach Gary Roberts.
"First of all thank you to everyone at the Club who has given me a really warm welcome," Paul said to iFollow Ipswich.
"It's been a good week and the lads deserve a lot of credit for the win against Accrington. That is not an easy place to go to.
"Now I've met the group properly and the first session went well. It's been nice to watch the players in action and put faces to names.
"The lads enjoyed it and I think when you have that first training session you feel like you have properly arrived."
