"Our consistency is our inconsistency at the minute"
Paul Cook says that Town need to address their fluctuating level of performance in order to be successful moving forward.
Blues lost Paul's first game in charge at Gillingham before two improved displays saw his side pick up a draw against Lincoln and three points against Plymouth on Saturday.
Goals either side of half-time from Callum Connolly and Ged Garner then saw Fleetwood to a 2-0 win in midweek, a game where Town's boss admitted post-match that the hosts were 'by far the better side'.
"As we're on the run-in now where every game is crucial, every point dropped is difficult," he told iFollow Ipswich. "We are where we are. We're still in the shake up and we still have a chance.
"The dips in performance between games is alarming, as are the consistencies we put in at times.
"A lot of home truths need to be told at times to gain better performances and see us go on to find a little bit more consistency than we're showing. Our consistency is our inconsistency at the minute."
