"It was a game of few chances but the reaction from Saturday was good"
Paul Cook said he was pleased with the performance and result against Lincoln, but admitted that he thought Michael Appleton's team were the slightly better side in the first half at Portman Road this evening.
The Imps struck first through Morgan Rogers in the 29th minute, but a neat header from James Wilson in the second half saw the spoils shared under the floodlights in Suffolk.
"I'm pleased with the point and pleased with the lads," the Town boss said.
"I'd say Lincoln were the better side in the first half, although we did start the game quite well I think. They took control for a period, though, but overall I would say a draw was a fair result.
"It was a game of few chances but the reaction from Saturday was good. They didn't trouble us in the second half which is great credit to our defensive shape.
"We had a lot of positive performances tonight whereas on Saturday we didn't have much to talk about. We can take things from the game tonight into Saturday though and hopefully get three points which will see us in a good position."
