"It's disappointing because we had opportunities to create chances but didn't take them"
Stephen Ward said Town must ensure that today's point at Wigan proves a useful one by beating Bristol Rovers and Rochdale in their next two games.
Town host Rovers on Good Friday before taking on Rochdale away on Easter Monday, with Paul Cook's side looking to reignite their play-off-hopes.
Blues have slipped to 11th in the League One table, but are still only two points off the top six with 10 games left to play this season.
"It's disappointing because we had opportunities to create chances but didn't take them. The final ball really let us down today," the full-back said.
"Credit to Wigan they defended well and they dealt with everything that went into the box, but of course we need to do more.
"The only way we can make this point count is by putting in good performances in the next two games, which are close together, and getting the results we want."
