BISH | SOFT GOAL TO CONCEDE AT A CRUCIAL TIME

20 March 2021

"The first half was good. We had done well but a game is 90 minutes, not 40, so again it's not enough.

Teddy Bishop said the fact that Portsmouth 'weren't in the game' until their equaliser made today's defeat even tougher to take for Town.

Tom Naylor equalised for the hosts four minutes before half-time after Blues had taken the lead through James Norwood, with Marcus Harness then firing in 18 minutes from the end to secure the win for Pompey in a tight contest at Fratton Park.

"Of course it's disappointing," the midfielder said.

"The fact they weren't in the game for 40 minutes or so makes it very tough to take. It's a soft goal to concede just before half-time and then the second half wasn't good enough.

"The first half was good. We had done well but a game is 90 minutes, not 40, so again it's not enough.

"We're still getting to know how the manager likes to play and I thought we showed good bits in the first half. Ultimately, though, we've come away with nothing so yeah, disappointing."
