ELKAN | EVERYONE'S PLAYED A PART TO GET US HERE

12 May 2021

"When you look at the fact we've been in since the first round; it's an incredible journey"

Elkan Baggott says everyone in the squad has played their part to get Town to the semi-final of the FA Youth Cup.

The young Blues, who have been in the competition since the first round, face their toughest test yet when they host Liverpool at Portman Road tonight.

Kick-off is at 6pm, with the clash being shown live on BT Sport 1.

"The group is very tight and everyone has played their part to help us get to this stage," the central defender told iFollow Ipswich.

"We've got some players playing now that weren't involved at the beginning so everyone has contributed in some way.

"When you look at the fact we've been in since the first round; it's an incredible journey.

"We've been the only non-Premier League team in the competition since the quarter-final stage as well, and that's something we take pride in.

"Yes we're grateful to be in this position, but we want to win the game and get to the final. That's our goal and we have to be confident and show what we're about."
