“It’s a big club with big ambitions" says new Blue as Paul's support team starts to take shape

Ian Craney is the latest addition to Paul Cook’s backroom team.

The 38-year-old former Everton youth player lined up for a number of clubs in his professional career, including Swansea, Huddersfield and Accrington.

A midfielder in his playing days, Ian, who worked under Paul at Wigan, joins Town as a coach and will operate alongside Gary Roberts and Franny Jeffers in the new look support staff to the manager.

“I’m really excited about the opportunity I have been given here,” Ian told the Club website.

“I obviously know Paul and worked with him at Wigan and when he offered me the chance to come to a club the size of Ipswich, I couldn’t wait to get down here.

“It’s a big club with big ambitions and shouldn’t be in this league and I’m looking forward to being involved and trying to move the Club on.”
