PLC director, PR Manager and Club sponsor join Trust board
The Club is delighted to announce three new trustees for the Community Trust.
Peter Over, Dan Palfrey and Olly Magnus have joined the board, and follow on from the announcement of Conor Chaplin, Natasha Thomas, Matt Holland and Mark Ashton last month.
The new trustees will provide added structure and vision for Town's community branch, while also strategising the key areas to develop the Club's engagement with the community.
Peter is a PLC director at the Club and has supported Town his whole life, while Dan is the Club’s Public Relations manager, and has worked at Portman Road for almost five years.
Olly is CEO of Magnus Group, who sponsor the west stand at Portman Road, and is also a lifelong fan of the Blues.
On his appointment, Peter told the Club website: “It’s a wonderful opportunity in what is a very exciting time for the Club, both on and off the pitch.
“It’s a huge honour to be asked to become a trustee, and I would like to thank Mark Ashton and the Club for the opportunity.
“I’m Suffolk born and bred, and I have lived and worked in Suffolk my whole life. I’m passionate about the county, the people of Suffolk, and the Club.”
Dan also spoke to the Club website and said: “I’m honoured to be a trustee.
“I’ve worked closely with the Community Trust since it reformed, and now I look forward to us building a long-term strategy that will help it continue to grow and reach every corner of the community.”
Olly added: “When I was contacted by Mark I thought I might be in trouble, so it was actually a really nice surprise!
“Three months ago I was just a normal fan, but now our name is on the stand and I am a trustee. I’m both thrilled and honoured.”
