Six goals in first 45 minutes at Playford Road
Tawanda Chirewa netted a brace in what was a hectic first half as Town U23s drew 4-4 with Millwall at Playford Road this afternoon.
With six goals in the opening 45 minutes, both sides found the back of the net once after the break - a late header from Ben Morris earning the young Blues a point.
Tommy Smith had opened the scoring in the sixth minute with Chirewa then doubling the hosts' advantage with 15 played.
Chirewa popped up again approaching the half-hour mark, shortly after Millwall had reduced the deficit.
The visitors got right back into it just before the interval, with two goals in the final five minutes of the first half.
And Millwall were in the ascendancy after the break as they took the lead for the first time in the contest, but a late header from Morris salvaged a point for the hosts.
The U23s are next in action when they visit Watford on 30 November.
