Young Blues return to winning ways with comfortable victory
Town U23s produced a fine display in a 4-1 victory against Watford this afternoon.
The young Blues, who have now scored four goals in back-to-back games having drawn 4-4 with Millwall in their previous outing, got off to a strong start when Tawanda Chirewa fired in with 11 minutes on the clock.
However, the Hornets responded well and levelled through Ryan Cassidy just a minute later.
James Norwood restored Town's advantage, though, with a smart right-footed finish on the stroke of half-time.
An own goal from Derek Agyakwa made it 3-1 on the hour mark, before Cameron Humphreys wrapped things up 14 minutes from time.
The three points sees the young Blues move up to third in Professional Development League Two South.
Town U23s, who are sponsored by CNet Training, are next in action when they face Charlton at Playford Road on 6 December.
U23s: Bort, Agbaje, Stewart, Smith, Humphreys, Alexander, Healy, Chirewa, Ward (Crane 80'), Siziba (Morris 70'), Norwood (Bello 83'). Subs: White, Bradshaw.
