"We've been speaking about it for a couple of weeks. I've been enjoying my football here and I want that to continue"
Janoi Donacien has signed a contract extension at Town.
The full-back, whose original deal was set to expire at the end of the 2021/22 season, will now stay at Portman Road until the summer of 2023.
The Club also has the option to extend his stay a further 12 months.
Janoi, 28, arrived at Town in the summer of 2018 and has made a total of 49 appearances for the Blues.
In October he won the Club's Player of the Month award, and now he is looking to kick on for the remainder of the campaign.
"I'm really happy to have it done," Janoi told iFollow Ipswich.
"We've been speaking about it for a couple of weeks. I've been enjoying my football here and I want that to continue.
"I'm happy to be playing regularly and the group here is really close. We're getting stronger and I want to continue to be a part of that.
"I've received some nice messages from supporters and been getting some praise for my work. There is a good vibe and this is a really good place to be."
