"We want to show the world that Ipswich Town Football Club is back on the map"
All of the Club’s board of directors and investors will be in attendance for December’s fixture against Sunderland at Portman Road, Town CEO Mark Ashton has confirmed.
The Blues host the Black Cats on Saturday, 18 December in the first of three games which are incorporated into the #PackOutPR campaign that was announced earlier today.
The Club’s plan is to create an unforgettable atmosphere at Portman Road throughout the holiday period, by encouraging a bumper crowd to cheer on the Blues for their festive fixtures against Sunderland, Wycombe and Lincoln.
Ed Schwartz, the representative for ORG who own 90% of Gamechanger 20 Ltd, was in attendance for Tuesday night’s Colchester game and will be in the Directors’ Box again for tomorrow’s League One fixture against Oxford.
Three lions fund member, Brett Johnson, previously witnessed the dramatic 2-1 victory over Fleetwood last month with the aforementioned duo being joined by Berke Bakay, Mark Detmer and Mark Steed when Town take on Sunderland next month.
"For the Sunderland game, the whole board are going to be here," Town’s CEO told iFollow Ipswich.
"All of our American-based investors are going to be here and at the game. That’s the first occasion that we’ve got the whole board and investment group together.
"Brett and Ed have already been here and have started to experience what this amazing crowd can do. Let’s do it with everyone here.”
All three of the festive fixtures are available in a bundle. Prices begin at £40 for adults, £20 for seniors, £12.50 for U23, £7.50 for U19 and just £3 for U12, while reduced individual game prices are also available.
Season ticket holders also benefit from the #PackOutPR campaign and will be rewarded with a TeamCard points bonus structure which is explained here.
Mark Ashton further explained the initiative and encouraged supporters to get involved and help build a special atmosphere at Portman Road.
"It’s a really important campaign," he continued. "We’ve talked about working together and everyone being in this together. This is our first initiative to start to pack out Portman Road.
"We want to go for 28,000-plus. We want to be brave and bold. We want to show the world that Ipswich Town Football Club is back on the map.
'Let me be really clear, we haven’t forgotten season ticket holders. They stick with us through thick and thin, and they will be rewarded too.
"The fans have been incredible but let’s go a bit further. Let’s get behind the boys and fill this place.
"We need to build attendances. We want to create an electric and amazing atmosphere. It’s a call to action to the supporters - let’s pack out Portman Road!"
