PAUL ON OXFORD CLASH

12 November 2021

"I'm really looking forward to it, and I can't wait to see 20,000-plus supporters at Portman Road once again"

Paul Cook believes Oxford United are one of the strongest teams in League One this season.

The U's currently occupy sixth spot in the table, with eight wins from 15 games, and head into tomorrow's meeting with Town on the back of five wins from six.

The Blues, though, hold excellent home form having won the last three games at Portman Road, scoring 10 goals in the process.

"League One is a very strong this year, and I think tomorrow is another match that should be a good advert for the division," Paul told iFollow Ipswich.

"We're going into a game against a side, in Oxford, that is one of the best in the division.

"Karl [Robinson] has done an excellent job and their squad has been built over a period of time. They've got to the play-offs and been knocking on the door in previous seasons, and they're continuing to improve I think.

"Our recent home form is good, though, and we want to keep going. The atmosphere tomorrow should be great and I think you'll see two sides intent on winning the game.

"I'm really looking forward to it, and I can't wait to see 20,000-plus supporters at Portman Road once again."

The full interview with Paul is available to watch below, while tickets for tomorrow's game remain on sale here or in Planet Blue.
