This is everyone's game
The Club is proud to show its support for Stonewall’s Rainbow Laces campaign across our upcoming League One fixture on Sunday against Crewe Alexandra.
Rainbow Laces aims to promote equality and inclusivity within sport for LGBTQ+ people and tackle discrimination on every level to help ‘make sport everyone’s game’. This year’s campaign is encouraging people to ‘Lace Up and Speak Up’, emphasising the importance of holding open conversations in support of LGBTQ+ communities.
The Club has installed a permanent LGBTQ+ flag in the corner of the Sir Alf Ramsey Stand which was created in partnership with the Club’s LGBTQ+ supporters group, Rainbow Tractors.
Rainbow colours will also be on display at Sunday’s game against Crewe, with rainbow corner flags, substitution board and other branding across the Club’s social media channels and the matchday programme.
The Club will also be filming a feature with supporters from Rainbow Tractors that will be published on Club channels during the campaign.
Rainbow Tractors re-launched in March this year and have made great progress with their membership and presence in the fanbase. The group ever-growing with lots of supporters taking an interest. You do not have to be LGBTQ+ to join the group, all supporters are extremely welcome. If interested, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Ipswich Town is, and always will be a football club for everyone, and we’re proud to be supporting Stonewall's Rainbow Laces campaign.
