PAUL MARINER TO BE HONOURED

11 November 2021

The Blues legend, who made 339 appearances for Town and 155 for Plymouth, will be remembered when two of his former sides meet later this season

The Club will be honouring Paul Mariner when Town play Plymouth Argyle at Portman Road on Saturday, 26 March.

The Blues legend, who made 339 appearances for Town and 155 for Plymouth, will be remembered when two of his former sides meet later this season.

Paul was part of Sir Bobby Robson's FA Cup and UEFA Cup winning sides and is regarded as one of the best players ever to wear the Town shirt.

Following Plymouth’s tribute last month at Home Park, and discussions with supporters at this week’s Fans’ Forum, the Club will dedicate the match in his honour.

The Club will liaise with the Mariner family and the Former Players Association to ensure Portman Road gives a fitting tribute to a legend.
