"We kept going until the end, and we fought for it"

Gary Roberts praised Town's never-say-die attitude following a 2-1 win over Fleetwood Town at Portman Road.

Bersant Celina sent the Blue Army into a state of ecstasy with a 93rd-minute winner, 11 minutes after Callum Morton has equalised for the Cod Army.

Conor Chaplin had broken the deadlock in the 49th minute with a superb left-footed strike from the edge of the area - his fifth goal in seven games.

"We showed great attitude today," Town's first-team coach told iFollow Ipswich.

"We kept going until the end, and we fought for it. We've had some games that haven't gone how we wanted to at home, but this one did and we deserved it.

"It was a very cagey first half. It was our third game in a week which might have explained why we looked a touch leggy. The gaffer got into them at half-time and the lads responded.

"Next week is a long and tough trip, so we'll enjoy this win and then prepare right for Plymouth."
