PAUL ON CAMBRIDGE TRIP

15 October 2021

"They’ve had some really good wins and I’m sure they will be delighted with the start that they have made"

Paul Cook says that tomorrow's sold out fixture at Cambridge is one that he has been looking forward to.

Both the home end and away allocation have been taken up in advance of the meeting, with 2,500 Town supporters making the trip to Abbey Stadium.

Having won promotion from League Two last term, the U's currently sit in 16th after making a positive start to life in the third tier.

"The game is sold out, we’re taking lots of support and as managers, it’s one we look forward to," said the Blues boss.

"We’re travelling tomorrow with 2,500 supporters and our players know that. It’s a big game and we desperately want to do well. We’ve prepared really well.

"He’s done a great job, Mark [Bonner, Cambridge manager] - from getting that promotion last year to coming into a new league, that offers some really different challenges. I’m sure he’s learned a lot. They’ve had some really good wins and I’m sure they will be delighted with the start that they have made."
