BOSS ON CONSISTENCY

15 October 2021

"I’m sure our supporters are wanting, demanding and expecting a performance and it’s something we’ve got to give them"

Paul Cook has reiterated the need for Town to put in consistent performances from game to game.

The Blues make the trip to Cambridge tomorrow having bounced back from a disappointing defeat at Accrington with a Papa John's Trophy victory at Gillingham and three points against Shrewsbury at Portman Road last time out.

Town will then travel to Portsmouth in midweek before a home fixture against Fleetwood on Saturday, 23 October.

"Tomorrow, we approach the start of a tough week," Paul told iFollow Ipswich. "We’re going into a three game week now where we’ve got a lot of players chomping at the bit to play.

"One thing we have learnt is that the level of performance can’t go from the highs of Doncaster to the lows of Accrington. We have to find a middle ground and that’s what we are searching for.

"We’ve got to make sure we turn up with the same level of desire as we did at Lincoln. I’m sure our supporters are wanting, demanding and expecting a performance and it’s something we’ve got to give them.

"If we want to get where we want to be, we’ve got to put a run of consistent performances together over the next 35 games."
