Former Everton midfielder joins the Club in consultancy role
Paul Cook has confirmed that Peter Reid will be joining his coaching team on a consultancy basis.
The former England international, who then had 24-year career in management following his playing days, has been at Town games recently and previously worked with Paul during his time as Wigan boss.
On the arrival of the former Bolton and Everton midfielder, Paul told iFollow Ipswich:
"I worked with Peter for three years at Wigan. He’s a great guy. In the footballing world, you’ll rarely find someone who is as respected as Peter Reid, not just as a footballer but also what he’s done as a manager.
"Peter coming in is great, not just for me, but the other coaching staff and the Club itself.
"Having people with that amount of experience at a football club can only be good."
The former Sunderland boss is looking forward to the remainder of the season with Town.
"Anywhere I can help I will, and hopefully my experience should bring something new to the setup," Peter told the Club website.
"If there's something I think will help then I'm never afraid to say it, and I've really enjoyed working with Paul in the past.
"This is a huge football club and I'm really looking forward to being involved, starting with a trip to Fratton Park next Tuesday as I'll be at that one."
