PAUL ON FANS' BACKING

17 September 2021

"Our fans are desperate for a successful football team and I’m desperate to deliver it for them"

Paul Cook has praised the continued support from the Town fans, particularly given the Club's tough start to the season.

The Blues head to Lincoln tomorrow looking for a first win of the season, with 1,800 away fans also making the journey to LNER Stadium.

"The fans have been an absolute credit," Paul said.

"People go on about there being a bit of disharmony at the end of games. Football’s like that now and there’s not been a lot of disharmony.

“As I walk off the pitch there are one or two shouts, but there is a lot of encouragement. Our fans are desperate for a successful football team and I’m desperate to deliver it for them.

"Our supporters are travelling in their numbers as well. The fans can play their part and it's now time for me, the staff and the players to stand up and get the messages from the training ground on to the pitch by delivering performances."

"Stay with that team tomorrow and we'll do everything we can to give the supporters what they want."
