And so proud of the players

Paul Cook said Town showed tremendous character to bounce back from a tough week with three points and clean sheet at Lincoln City this afternoon.

A first-half header from Macauley Bonne saw the Blues run out 1-0 winners at LNER Stadium, following on from a home defeat against Bolton in the League last weekend.

"I'm so pleased for the fans and I want to give a massive pat on the back to the players," Paul told iFollow Ipswich.

"When you get beaten heavily at home, and then have to go to Lincoln - that's very tough.

"Lincoln are a really good team and asked questions of us, but we controlled the game well, particularly in the first half.

"The fans will go home delighted and I am so pleased for them.

"The seven additional minutes at the end lasted a lifetime, but we showed real character."
