BOSS ON BOLTON

10 September 2021

"They have an expansive style of play and they will test us"

Paul Cook said Town will need to be "bang at it" for tomorrow's visit of Bolton Wanderers to Portman Road.

The Trotters have had a mixed start to the campaign with two wins, three draws and a defeat in their opening six games.

"Bolton have a really clear identity," the Town boss told iFollow Ipswich.

"Ian Evatt [Bolton manager] played for me at Chesterfield and it's great to see him doing well in his career.

"It's going to be a difficult game and we respect them. There are no easy matches anymore because teams are very well coached.

"They have an expansive style of play and they will test us. We have to be bang at it to get anything from the match."
