"We will definitely be up for the challenge"

Christian Walton has stressed the importance of Town keeping up their high level of performance when Cambridge visit Portman Road this weekend.

The Blues come into the clash having extended their unbeaten stint to 11 games, the second-best run of this sort in the top four divisions of English football, with a 1-0 victory over Plymouth last time out.

Only two sides, Liverpool and Chelsea, have conceded less goals since the turn of the year as well, but Christian says that Town cannot afford to become complacent.

"It’ll be a tough game," the goalkeeper, who was speaking after a visit to a Community Trust session on Thursday, told the Club website.

"They’ll bring a lot of fans here and I know we will have another big home crowd, so we will definitely be up for the challenge.

"We won't be complacent at all. We just need to carry on with what we’ve been doing in recent weeks, then we’ll be in for another positive game.

"We know it’s not going to be easy. If we start the game well and can carry it on from there, then I'm sure we'll have a good game and hopefully get the right result too."
