Plus updates on George and Lee

Town have no fresh injury concerns ahead of Saturday's home match against Cambridge, Kieran McKenna has confirmed.

George Edmundson and Kyle Edwards remain longer-term absentees while the game looks set to come too soon for Lee Evans.

Aside from missing that trio, Kieran says that the Blues go into the weekend's fixture with the U's after a good week of preparation at Playford Road.

"There’s nothing new in terms of injuries," said Town's boss. "The boys have trained really well this week.

"We’re going into the game with good preparation. There has been no opportunity for us to take our eyes off of the ball in terms of intensity at all, and that has been driven from the players as well.

"Lee has had another scan this week just to check up on things. It looks to be progressing well and we’re hoping that he can join the squad in training at some point next week. It won't be at the start of the week but hopefully he can be back with the group later in the week.

"George Edmundson has still got a fair way to go with his ankle injury. We’re not exactly sure what the time scale will be but it’d be a big push to see him in the league campaign this month. Hopefully we can extend the season by a little longer in order to see him again this year."
