EARLY ROTHERHAM TEAM NEWS

14 April 2022

KVY back in contention plus other injury updates

Kane Vincent-Young has returned to full training this week ahead of Saturday's trip to Rotherham, Kieran McKenna has confirmed.

The 26-year-old has been carrying out separate work to the rest of the squad in the last couple of weeks due to a minor issue but he could be in line to return to the matchday squad this weekend.

George Edmundson, Lee Evans, Kyle Edwards and Kayden Jackson remain unavailable, with the latter two unlikely to feature before the end of the season.

"Kane Vincent-Young hasn’t been training with us for the last couple of weeks after an issue but he has returned to training this week," said Kieran.

"It’s the same situation aside from that. George, Lee Evans, Kayden and Kyle have still not returned. If we can get any of the four fit and available before the end of the season then that would be a bonus.

"I’m not prepared to leave anyone out of the games who can be fit so if their rehab is done in the right way then I’d like to see them on the pitch against Charlton [on 30, April].

"Some are further away than others. Certainly for Kayden and Kyle, though, that’s pretty much ruled out completely."
