"We want to test ourselves against the best this league has to offer"
Kieran McKenna says Town's next two fixtures are ones he has looked forward to ever since being appointed Blues boss in December.
Town head to AESSEAL New York Stadium to face Rotherham, currently sat third in the League One table, on Saturday, with Wigan, who occupy pole position and look destined to secure automatic promotion this term, then visiting Portman Road on Tuesday.
Ahead of the Easter weekend double header, Kieran said: "These are stand-out games in the calendar.
"I have looked forward to this weekend ever since I arrived, and I have always said that we want to test ourselves against the best this league has to offer.
"Both Rotherham and Wigan have consistently won games at this level, although Rotherham have had a dip in form in recent weeks.
"I watched their game with Portsmouth on Tuesday night, though, and I didn't think there was much in the game. The key moments went against them in that one.
"They're still a very strong team and it is normal for teams, in every division, to have runs and spells like they are currently on. We have to go up there with the aim of controlling as much as possible, while also being aware that they will be fighting tooth and nail."
Saturday's trip to Rotherham will be shown live on Sky Sports, while The Millers have confirmed that tickets will be available to purchase on the day in South Yorkshire.
