Winger visits Copleston High for initiative encouraging youngsters to get into football

Kyle Edwards paid a visit to Copleston High School this evening to take part in the Ipswich Town Community Trust’s ‘Play On’ session.

‘Play On’ is an initiative run by the Club’s Community Trust that encourages youngsters between the ages of 11 and 16 in the area to spend their Friday evening in a positive environment where they can make new friends and have fun, all while being physically active.

Kyle watched the group before taking part in a Q&A, signing autographs and having selfies with some of the squad after the session.

“It was great to get out and meet everyone,” the winger told the Club website.

“It’s brilliant to see how much all the children enjoy coming along and just playing football.

“The facilities provided for these youngsters are incredible. It gives them access to be able to do what they love in a safe environment, and it is great to see football bringing young people together.

“I think it is so important for initiatives like this to exist in communities."
