Wes at the double with young midfielder honoured

The Official ITFC Supporters Club's Player of the Year Awards took place in the FanZone after today's fixture with Charlton Athletic.

More than 200 fans were in attendance for the event which was co-hosted by former Blues midfielder Darren Ambrose and ITFC Supporters Club chairman Mark Ramsay.

Wes Burns, who bagged a brace in the 4-0 win over The Addicks, collected two awards this afternoon as he won the Supporters Club’s Player of the Year as well as the Ultimate Members Player of the Year.

Janoi Donacien finished as runner-up to his teammate for the Supporters Club's Player of the Year.

The two accolades for Wes follow the Welshman winning the Players' Player of the Year and Corporate Sponsors Player of the Year at Tuesday evening's End of Season Dinner.

Meanwhile at today's event, Cameron Humphreys, who has played two senior league games for Town this season, including coming on and getting an assist against Charlton this afternoon, was named Academy Player of the Year.

Cameron starred in Town U18s' Professional Development League Cup success over Coventry in midweek as he notched three assists in a 7-0 victory for the young Blues at Portman Road. He has also been a regular feature for the U23s, who currently sit top of the Professional Development League Two South division.
