Duo absent for this weekend's game

Saturday's trip to Forest Green Rovers will come too early for Dom Ball, Kieran McKenna has confirmed.

The midfielder, who celebrated his 27th birthday earlier this week, was absent for Town's opening game of the season last weekend, having also missed the final two fixtures of the Blues' pre-season calendar.

He has, however, returned to the grass, and could be in line to make his competitive debut for the Club at Portman Road next week against Colchester (Tuesday, Carabao Cup) or MK Dons (Saturday, League One).

Corrie Ndaba is the only other absentee for the weekend's trip to Gloucestershire due to a minor hip flexor issue.

"I think Dom is going to fall just short for this weekend," said Kieran.

"Saturday is going to come just too quickly, but he’ll hopefully be involved in the fixtures next week.

"Corrie Ndaba has a very slight strain in one of his hip flexors so he hasn't trained this week, but it won't be anything long-term."
